Transition

Sixth Form years are influential in a young adult’s life, and as such we highly value the transition process, to ensure a positive start to your La Retraite 6 education.

 In early July, all offer holders were invited to join our Induction Day. This provided students with chance to meet subject teachers, learn more about course content and the syllabus, explore enrichment activities and the wide-ranging clubs and societies on offer and an insight into the opportunities they can gain access to, alongside finding out more about our scholarship programmes and additional qualifications, including the EPQ and ASDAN CoPE Award.

Students also received their Summer Research Projects, work that aims to bridge the gap in learning and introduce key concepts that students will undertake during Sixth Form years, including intellectual curiosity and independent thinking.

As a result of our highly regarded transition programme, we are confident that come September, students will be ready to hit the ground running and ready to enjoy our annual It’s a Knock-Out team building day!
