Impressive results and ambitious plans for the future once more at La Retraite 6

Once again, we are delighted to share the outstanding results attained by La Retraite 6 students, across our comprehensive range of academic and vocational courses.

The achievements of students this year are a testament to, and the richly deserved rewards of, their hard work and dedication throughout their time at La Retraite 6, marking another year of academic and personal achievements for students to add to our legacy of academic excellence.

Students this year have been delighted to secure places at highly regarded universities, as well as exciting apprenticeships and career pathways, demonstrating the breadth of opportunities available to our graduates.

Having received positive results across the board, there were many standout subjects and individual successes. In addition to high overall pass rates, highlights included:

  • Our students have excelled with a 100% first-time pass rate in our T Level and Cambridge Technical cohorts, and an impressive 79.9% of A-Level entries attained A*-C grades.
  • In specific subjects, students performed exceptionally well, achieving 100% A*-C grades in Art, Textiles, Geography, and Portuguese, alongside very strong results in other areas such as Biology, Chemistry, History, and Psychology. These outcomes demonstrate the high level of skill, dedication, and resilience of our students across both academic and vocational pathways.

  • In 2024, we were in the top 5% of schools for the proportion of students going on to study degrees, apprenticeships, or other Level 4 study, taking prior attainment into account. Our school achieved a Progression Score of 18 in the Well Above Average category, demonstrating exceptional student advancement and educational excellence. Our 2025 data is not available yet.
  • Emma achieved Distinction, A, B and has secured a place at the University of Cambridge to study Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, where she is excited to embrace new opportunities and continue developing her academic and creative interests.
  • Iniya achieved A*AA in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths and will be pursuing Medicine at UCL, fulfilling her ambition to enter the medical profession.
  • Marvin and Onye both completed their T Level in Digital and have secured prestigious opportunities: Marvin with a degree apprenticeship at Amazon and Onye with an apprenticeship at Lloyds, demonstrating the strong vocational pathways offered at La Retraite 6.
  • Zachary achieved A, B, B in History, Theology, and Sociology and will be studying Ancient History and Classical Archaeology at the University of Warwick.
"I dedicated considerable effort to my examinations and was pleased to achieve these results. My advice to future students is to approach their studies with focus and determination. I am grateful to all my teachers and family for their support, with particular thanks to the pastoral team. One of my most memorable experiences at La Retraite 6 was participating in the teacher versus student football matches."

La Retraite 6 is founded on an offer that equips every student with the practical experiences, knowledge, and attributes to succeed and embark on their chosen future pathway. This September, La Retraite 6 has expanded its curriculum to include a T Level Nursing pathway, complementing its existing Midwifery pathway.

"We are delighted to recognise the incredible accomplishments of our Class of 2025, who have achieved another outstanding set of KS5 results and upheld La Retraite’s strong legacy of success. Their ambition, perseverance, and hard work have opened doors to exceptional opportunities - including places at universities such as Cambridge and Imperial - and left a lasting impression on the whole La Retraite community.

Beyond their academic success, they have grown into kind, thoughtful, and driven individuals who have made a lasting impact on our school. Everyone at LR6 is incredibly proud of them and excited to see all they will go on to achieve. We know they will continue to make us proud!"

– Matt Dutton, Director of La Retraite 6
